  • Outdoor Burning Moratorium

Due to a backyard burn that started a forest fire on April 18, the City of Westfir has placed a moratorium on outdoor burning until at least Fall 2025.

The authority to revoke burn permits can be found in City Ordinance 142, Section 3.

The City will look for alternative methods of yard debris disposal. If you have special needs, please contact the City at 541‑782‑3983 or

    cityhall@ci.westfir.or.us

If you purchased a burn permit in Spring 2025 and have not yet conducted an outdoor burn, you may request a refund of the permit fee.
