Remote Access to Meetings

Planning Commission Hearing

On January 18, 2022, beginning at 5:00 p.m., the City of Westfir will hold a Planning Commission Hearing.

Due to limited space and COVID-19 health and safety measures, the Planning Commission Hearing will be an audio/visual teleconference with an option for in-person comments.

When you join by computer or telephone, you will be prompted for this Meeting ID:

If you have not already installed the Zoom app, you’ll see straightforward instructions for doing so.

Once the Zoom app loads, you’ll be asked for your name. Please type your full name.

You’ll be asked whether you want to enable audio. You’ll also see an option for calling in by telephone, which is useful if your device does not have a microphone.

Once the hearing starts, you’ll see icons that allow you to mute/unmute your microphone and chat (exchange messages) with the meeting host.

If your device has a microphone, you’ll have an opportunity to speak during the “testimony of persons in favor” and “testimony of other persons” periods on the agenda. Make your desire to speak known to the moderator by clicking the Raise Hand icon, which you’ll find after clicking the Reactions icon.

Join in person at City Hall, 47441 Westoak Road

If you plan to attend in person, the City strongly encourages you to register with the City Recorder, in advance of the hearing, either by email or telephone:

The City is asking that you register to participate in person due to social distancing requirements caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The meeting chamber is not large enough to accommodate all persons, so you may be asked to wait outside the chamber until it is your time to provide testimony. Interested persons wanting to provide oral testimony in person may be called into the chambers to provide oral testimony one at a time in order to adhere to COVID-19 health and safety protocols. The City prefers that all interested persons participate in the public hearing remotely via Zoom, either on the Internet or by telephone.
