If you have trouble viewing a document in your browser…
The Trans Cascadia Staff Report (a PDF document) includes a high-resolution scalable vector graphic (SVG) which your browser may have difficulty rendering. In particular, the Chrome and Edge browsers may fail to display every page of the document, and they may not display the SVG at all. If you experience this difficulty, we offer two suggestions:
- View the document in the Firefox browser. Firefox displays every page of the document immediately, but on the third page you will see the SVG being rendered incrementally over a period of a few minutes. Once the rendering is complete, the entire document will be displayed correctly.
- Download the document to your computer and then view it in a standalone PDF reader (not your browser). For example, the free Adobe Acrobat Reader displays the entire document correctly, although it may take several seconds to render the SVG. If a standalone PDF reader is not already installed on your computer, you can download Adobe Acrobat Reader from www.adobe.com/acrobat/pdf-reader.html. (The Adobe download page may offer to install some additional software. We suggest that you decline any such offer by clearing any checkbox on the page. You only need to download and install Adobe Acrobat Reader.)
