Relief City Recorder

The City of Westfir is accepting applications for the part-time position of Relief City Recorder. The position requires knowledge of word processing, data entry, and bookkeeping; strong organizational skills; and the ability to work with the public.

Job Description


9 a.m. to 2 p.m., one day per week, and other times as needed


$12–$14 per hour, based on experience


  • Perform the duties of the City Recorder during scheduled and unscheduled absences
  • Record money received and prepare bank deposits
  • Prepare and mail monthly utility statements and disconnection notices
  • Issue dog licenses and burn permits
  • Maintain records
  • Communicate with the public in person, by phone, and by email
  • Organize and maintain library books and movies
  • Assist with special projects and tasks
  • Clean office, restroom, and library area
  • Maintain outdoor planting areas
  • Perform other duties required by employee’s supervisor or City Council
