Relief City Recorder
The City of Westfir is accepting applications for the part-time position of Relief City Recorder. The position requires knowledge of word processing, data entry, and bookkeeping; strong organizational skills; and the ability to work with the public.
Job Description
Hours:
9 a.m. to 2 p.m., one day per week, and other times as needed
Pay:
$12–$14 per hour, based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Perform the duties of the City Recorder during scheduled and unscheduled absences
- Record money received and prepare bank deposits
- Prepare and mail monthly utility statements and disconnection notices
- Issue dog licenses and burn permits
- Maintain records
- Communicate with the public in person, by phone, and by email
- Organize and maintain library books and movies
- Assist with special projects and tasks
- Clean office, restroom, and library area
- Maintain outdoor planting areas
- Perform other duties required by employee’s supervisor or City Council
