Council Meeting – Remote Access

The City Council meeting on March 1, 2021, starting at 5:30 pm, will be held remotely in order to comply with COVID-19 social distancing requirements. Read below to learn how you can attend the meeting.

Join by computer or other device

This option works best if you have a fast Internet connection. You can use almost any device: desktop computer, notebook computer, tablet or smartphone.

If you have not already installed the Zoom app, you’ll see straightforward instructions for doing so.

Once the Zoom app loads, you’ll be asked for your name. Please type your full name.

You’ll be asked whether you want to enable audio. You’ll also see an option for calling in by telephone, which is useful if your device does not have a microphone.

Once the meeting starts, you’ll see icons that allow you to mute/unmute your microphone and chat (exchange messages) with the meeting host.

You can submit questions and comments to the meeting host at any time during the meeting by clicking the Chat icon.

If your device has a microphone, you’ll also have an opportunity to speak during the Public Comment period, toward the end of the meeting. Make your desire to speak known to the moderator by clicking the Raise Hand icon, which you’ll find after clicking the Participants icon.
